Translational Scholars

Career Development Program

DESCRIPTION:

The UTMB Institute for Translational Science (ITS) is accepting applications for its Translational Scholars Career Development Program. This is a new early career development program designed as a component in the recently funded NIH Institutional Clinical Translational Science Award (ICTSA). The aim of the Program is to provide a mentored research experience leading to external funding of a research program in clinical and/or translational research relevant to the mission of the ITS. Scholars will also attend and participate in seminars and workshops with peers who are preparing initial grant applications.

Areas of Research:

The ITS Translational Scholars Career Development Program is designed to support a UTMB faculty member at the assistant professor level engaged in clinical and/or translational research.  Preference will be given to applications focusing on areas of research represented by the Multidisciplinary Translational Teams currently supported by the ITS.  The research areas are listed below and the existing teams described on the ITS web site: http://www.its.utmb.edu
