Driving to UTMB

From Houston

• Take Interstate 45 to Galveston Island
• Take the Harborside Drive exit off I-45
• Stay on Harborside Drive until you reach the campus

From Beaumont-Port Arthur Area

• Take Highway 87 to Port Bolivar
• Take free, round-the-clock ferry to Galveston island
• Stay on Ferry Road
• Follow signs to UTMB Campus

From Brazoria / Matagorda County Area

• Follow Farm Road 3005
• Toll bridge at San Luis Pass connects Galveston Island to the mainland
• Farm Road 3005 becomes Seawall Boulevard
• Follow Seawall Blvd and curve left onto University Blvd (6th Street)

Flying to UTMB

Scholes Field
Galveston's Scholes Field, located on the west end of the island, has no passenger air service.
